Other things you need
to
note:
-
Submitted
document format - Tech Edit
will accept documents in MS Word 97 format
(.doc) or later, with a maximum file size
of 5MB. Other document formats can be
reviewed, however, please enquire about any
other document formats via email prior to
lodging a Request for
Quote.
-
Returned document format -
As soon as editing or proofreading of your
document is complete, we will send your
document back to you with our suggested
changes (as MS Word "Track Changes").
Explanatory notes and comments will also be
included where appropriate to help you
understand why our editor has suggested
these modifications.
- Extra-editing
surcharge - If the English
language of a document is of a very poor
standard and requires a significant number
of changes that are beyond
what
the
chosen Level of Service provides for, then
an extra-editing surcharge may be
attracted. If this is the case, we will
include this in your quote so that you know
exactly what costs are involved before
commencing any
work.
-
Follow-up editing services
- Once you have received your edited
document, please review our
suggestions. If you require further
minor changes to be made to a document that
has been edited by Tech Edit, then our
staff remain available to check them and to
answer questions, for no additional fee.
However, if follow-up requests require an
excessive amount of time, or
if significant
changes have been made to a document,
then an additional service fee may be
incurred. If this is the case, you
will be informed of this prior to any
work commencing and another quote
will be provided so that there are no
suprises for you. The follow-up
period for an edited document is 14
days after the document has been
returned to
you.
-
Editing for Academic
Documents

Please note that although we strive
to improve the final outcome of your
academic documents by making them
clear and well written, the technical
content is yours. Our ethical
principles will not allow us to
re-write or advise on the technical
content of any thesis or academic
documents.
